The Products on the Opportunity must be linked to Items
You will get an error message if it's not linked
Default Purchasing Type from Item will be copied to the Sales Line.
After creating a Sales Order, the Sales Order lookup field on the opportunity will be populated.
On the Sales Order, the Opportunity lookup field will be populated.
Once a Sales Order is created, you cannot change the Opportunity Status any more.
