Overview

In Salesforce CRM, Sales Representatives will utilize use Opportunities and customized Quotes. Customize the Edit Quote page to include the following fields for a streamlined quoting process:Fields for Edit Quote Page: for a more streamlined quoting process.

New Fields

Add these fields to the Product, Quote Line, and Item tables

  • Base Material (lookup field)

    • Do not use any Configurator fields on the item table

  • Bleed (lookup field)

  • Width (numeric field with 2 decimals)

  • Length (numeric field with 2 decimals)

On the Product table, add zzz to the front of all old custom fields

Usage Instructions

  • Base Material: Choose Select from a picklist with approximately 10 to 15 10–15 predefined options.

    • Convert lookup to picklist for a better user experience

  • Width: Range Enter values ranging from 0 to 120 inches, with 2 decimalsdecimal places.

  • Length: Range Enter values ranging from 0 to 20 inches, with 2 decimals.decimal places.

  • Bleed: Select from a picklist with 3–4 options.

    • Convert lookup to picklist for better user experience

  • Content Description: Free text inputentry field.

  • Unit Price: Automatically calculated based on predefined preset pricing rules.

  • Allow to update images per Each Quote Line allows image upload.

Price Calculation Logic

The Unit Price is calculated using this formula:

  1. (Length (inches to 2 decimals) + Bleed (from bleed table) 

  2. (Width (inches to 2 decimals) + Bleed (from bleed table) 

  3. 144 (this is to get ft2) 

  4. Product Type Base Material Price $ (from Product Base Material Pricing Table)
