Sales Reps will use Opportunities and Quote.
Customize the Edit Quote page with the following fields:

Upon Saving the Quote, if the Product does not exist, create a new Product using this format: ABC-01-1025-0925-001, where:
ABC = 3 digit customer code
01 = Material Code
1025 = 10.25 inch for width
0925 = 9.25 inch for length
001 = sequential values assigned to each unique content description
When Opportunity is closed won, click a button to create Sales Order.
Create new items if they don’t already exist.
Establish item formulas and routings based on preset rules.
In GoldFinch:
Create a custom Product Configurator page in GoldFinch with the following fields to create finished goods and sync to Salesforce Product
Customer Code
Material
Width
Length
Content
Enter all raw material items in GoldFinch and will not sync back to Salesforce.
Preconfigured BOMs and Routings based on item segments.
Configure Sales Price
Configure Cross Reference table to map Customer Item No. with GoldFinch Item No.
All repeated orders will entered in GoldFinch Sales Order
Allow to enter orders using either Customer Item No. or GoldFinch Item No.
