Projects

  • Copy fields, page layouts, and components from the Opportunity page.

  • Projects remain open until fulfillment or delivery is complete.

  • Projects will replace the Salesforce Opportuntity/Cases currently being created for this purpose.


Sales Quotes

  • Use the out-of-box GoldFinch Sales Quote functionality.

  • Each Project will have:

    • One Quote, Order, Shipment, and Invoice.

    • One Item with a Quantity of 1.

Multiple Quotes

  • Ensure only one quote is created per project.

  • Archive the existing quote as needed before updating it.


Allocation

  • Allocate inventory on Sales Quotes.

  • Financing Process:

    • Customers seeking financing will require approval.

    • Once financing is approved and accepted, allocation proceeds.

    • If financing is not approved, allocation is canceled, and the inventory becomes available again.


Sales Order and Delivery

  1. Convert the Sales Quote into a Sales Order.

  2. GoldFinch copies allocation details from Sales Quote to the Sales Order.

  3. Create Whse Shipment then Pick, Pack, and Ship.

  4. Create the Sales Invoice.


Pending Items

Trade-Ins

  • Use the Used Intake Form for trade-ins.

  • Trade-in items should be added directly to the inventory.

Signing Documents

  • Implement a digital signing tool.

  • Ensure all digitally signed documents are accessible within Salesforce.

Dealer Option Packages

  • Add Finished Good Items.

  • Refer to GoldFinch Setup Documentation.

  • Explode the BOM (Bill of Materials) to display detailed formulas.

  • Select "Service Needed" where applicable.

Show Fulfillment Process/Stages on Project

  • Include stages for:

    • Allocation

    • Picks

    • Shipment

    • Shipped

    • Delivered

Shipment and Delivery

  • Revise the process to remove dependency on Tag & Title Salesforce Cases for serialized items.
