1/27/2025 Internal Call Notes
Roll-Up Costs and Prices for BOMs
Zon will update the GoldFinch package to also roll-up price.
Kevin will assist with additional customizations if needed.
Will automate the roll-up cost process to run nightly instead of requiring manual updates.
Explode BOM Functionality for Retail and Project Orders
Project orders: Current functionality replaces parent items with their components at zero price. This works as expected.
Retail orders: Need to include the standard base price for each component on the sales lines.
Discussed the unit cost:
For both parent and retail sales orders, unit costs must be populated during the BOM explosion.
Zon will ensure the functionality pulls in the correct unit cost values for each line item.
Service Addresses for Lawn Care and Snow Removal
Decided to manage service addresses as a related list on the project object (not tied to accounts).
Fields to include: Name, address, city, state, zip, and a site contact if needed.
Kevin will add the "Service Addresses" related list to the project object.
Sarah/Jodi will set up examples and screenshots for FenceScape to review.
Service addresses should appear on invoices linked to projects.
Kevin will explore customizing invoice templates to include these addresses if needed.
Page Layout Cleanup
Sarah will clean up page layouts for FenceScape.
Separate layouts for vendors and customers.
Remove unnecessary fields.
Organize fields logically based on user workflows.
