Basic Warehouse Setup with One Pick Bin

Basic Warehouse Setup with One Pick Bin

Overview

Warehouses are physical locations where inventory is stored.

Default Warehouse

The post-installation script creates a default warehouse named Main upon installation and is ready for immediate use. You can rename this warehouse and add the warehouse address.

The default warehouse comes with a single bin, Pick, and is configured to bypass warehouse activities such as pick tickets, put-aways, and movements.

Turning on the Pick Function

  1. Create a new bin named "Ship Bin" with Bin Type = Ship.

  2. Assign this bin to the Ship Bin field in the location setup.

  3. Uncheck the Bypass Pick for Shipment option to enable the pick process.

  4. Uncheck the Populate lots when Create Shipment.

Creating a New Warehouse

The most efficient way to create a new warehouse is by cloning an existing one. Cloning a warehouse will create a new warehouse along with all associated bins from the original warehouse.

Deleting a Warehouse

A warehouse can only be deleted if no transactions have been recorded against it. Once any transactions have been recorded, the warehouse cannot be deleted.

Note: Deleting a warehouse will also delete all associated bins.
