Set Up Vendors for Processing Outside Services

Overview

Vendors need to be properly set up to purchase the components and outside services required to create finished goods. In this demo, the vendors are based on the demo items previously created.

Steps to Set Up Vendors for Processing Outside Services

Open the App Launcher and search for Accounts.

  • Find an existing account that is similar to the one you need to set up and click on it.

  • Click the Clone button.

    • Cloning is quicker and ensures that relevant fields are pre-populated based on the existing account.

Create Vendor Accounts for purchasing the following items:

  • Semi-Finished Goods Vendor: Vendor for purchasing semi-finished goods required for production.

  • Packing Items Vendor: Vendor for purchasing packaging materials.

  • Outside Service Item Vendor: Vendor for purchasing outside services needed for the production process.


By setting up these vendors, you'll be able to efficiently manage the purchasing of components and services required for the production of finished goods in GoldFinch. This setup will streamline the procurement process and ensure accurate tracking of vendor-supplied materials and services.
