  1. Create a Work Order

    • When a returned item requires extra raw materials for repair, manually create a Work Order.

    • Use the returned item as both the component and output item.

  2. Add Components and Routing

    • Enter any additional components and define Routing on the Work Line, or directly in the Production Journal for posting.

  3. Item Tracking

    • The returned item can be serialized or lot-tracked to maintain traceability.

  4. Posting and Completion

    • After posting the Production Journal and completing the Work Order, GoldFinch will automatically update the returned item with the additional component and labor costs.

  5. Serial/Lot Tracing

    • Serial number and lot tracing will continue seamlessly, ensuring full traceability of the returned item.
