Sales Pricing and Discounting
Creating Products and Items: When a GoldFinch Item is created, it syncs with Salesforce as a Product.
Selective Syncing: Not all items from GoldFinch need to appear in Salesforce. For example, Fencescape mentioned that sales teams should only see items they need for quoting. This requires filtering what gets synced.
Price Book Management:
Salesforce handles sales-facing pricing (e.g., what the customer sees in a quote).
GoldFinch manages inventory and cost-based pricing (e.g., internal costs, landed costs, etc.).
Quote-to-Order Workflow: Once a quote is created in Salesforce, the selected products (with Salesforce pricing) flow into a Sales Order in GFERP, where inventory and costing can be finalized.
Need to allow sales teams to view prices based on predefined Price Books in Salesforce (e.g., PROJ codes for projects, retail pricing tiers).
3 tiers of price levels using discounts - 20, 22, 25% set at Account level (Contractor, Established, and Preferred).
