Work Order Process Steps

Overview

There are four distinct Production Process Steps, each with its own unique path.

Refer to the file Production Salesforce Paths.xlsx for detailed pathways.

Defining the Production Process Step

You can define the Production Process Step directly on the Sales Line. The default setting for this field is Approved Order.

Creating Work Orders

Using the Insert Requisition Button

  • Navigate to the Sales Order and click the Insert Requisition button to create work orders.

  • The Production Process Step from the Sales Line will be copied to the Work Order's Record Type field.

  • Each Record Type corresponds to specific Process Steps.

Manually Creating a Work Order

  • Start with the default Approved Order setting.

  • Click Next to create a new work order.

  • If needed, use the Change Record Type button to update the Record Type for the work order.

Modifying the Record Type

To change the Record Type of a Work Order:

  1. Open the Work Order.

  2. Click the Change Record Type button.

This allows you to align the Work Order with the appropriate Production Process Step.
