CPQ (B2B) Sales Orders

Error Conditions for Creating Sales Orders (SO) or Purchase Orders (PO) from CPQ Opportunity

Ensure the following conditions are met before creating SO/PO from a CPQ Opportunity:

  1. Opportunity Status

    • The opportunity must be Closed and Won.

  2. Account

    • The Account field cannot be blank.

  3. Warehouse

    • The Warehouse field cannot be blank.

    • Users must have GFERP license. We might need to do better

  4. Opportunity Line Items
    Ensure the following for each line item:

    • Product ID cannot be blank.

    • Unit Price cannot be blank.

    • Cost cannot be blank.

    • Quantity cannot be blank.

  5. Item Linking

    • All PO line items, including fee items, must be linked to a GF Item.

    • A GF Item must be linked with the Product ID through the GF Item's SF Product field.


Process for Creating SO/PO from CPQ Opportunity

  1. Initiating the Process

    • To create an SO/PO, click the Create GF SO/PO button from the opportunity.

  1. SO Creation

    • If the opportunity is not yet linked to a Sales Order (SO), the system will create one and link it to the opportunity.

  2. PO Creation

    • If the opportunity is not yet linked to a Purchase Order (PO), the system will create one and link it to the opportunity.

  3. Existing SO/PO

    • If the opportunity is already linked to both an SO and a PO, no new orders will be created.


Additional Requirements

  • ShipStation: Do not use ShipStation for this process.

  • Allocation Status: Ensure that the Allocation Status is set to "Full" before picking/packing and shippping.
