Tax Area Defaults and Setup

Setup

Add Tax Area lookup field to the Warehouse page.

Sales Order

  • When creating a new Sales Order with Record Type = Service Order or Part Sales

    • Default Tax Area from the Warehouse.

    • Tax Liable field, by default, should be true and should be editable.

    • When updating Tax Area and Tax Liable, update Sales Tax calculations.

    • We need a LWC page for Service Order and Part Sales Order, just like what we did for Sales Invoice with Record Type= Part Sales (used to be POS)

  • When creating a new Sales Order with Record Type =Trailer Order

    • Use the standard “out of box” Visualforce page.

    • Tax Liable field, by default, should be true

    • Users will manually enter the registration address (using Ship-to Address on the Sales Order) then select a Tax Area.

      • Phase 2 - might need to do validity check between Ship-to Address and Tax Area.

    • Tax Liable field must be editable.

    • When updating Tax Area and Tax Liable, update Sales Tax calculation.

Sales Invoice

  • When creating a new Sales Invoice with Record Type = Service Order or Part Sales, default Tax Area from Warehouse.

  • Tax Liable field must be editable.

  • When updating Tax Area and Tax Liable, update Sales Tax calculation.

  • Current LWC can be used for both Record Type = Service Order or Part Sales
