  1. Bypassing Shipments for Service Orders:

    1. For service orders, AATC employees need a way to move items from the item's default bin to a service bin without going through additional steps like quality control (QC) processes required for trailer orders.

    2. The goal was to use the warehouse shipment document to simplify the movement from default bin to service bin without requiring extensive validations.

  2. Trailer Orders Require QC:

    1. For trailer orders, there is a mandatory QC process (e.g., checking tire pressure, lights, etc.) before marking the item as "ready to ship" and moving it to the shipping bin.

  3. Record Type Differentiation:

    1. Chris suggested that using different record types for warehouse shipments or applying conditional validations based on the sales order record type could handle these requirements:

      1. Service Orders: Minimal validation, no required QC steps, direct movement to service bin.

      2. Trailer Orders: Required QC steps and validations before shipment.

  4. Validations as a solution:

    1. Creating a picking ticket might simplify the process for all types of orders.

    2. The system could automate picking ticket creation to avoid manual warehouse movements.

    3. For service orders, validations could enforce necessary requirements.

  5. Proposed solutions:

    1. Automating picking ticket creation for both service and trailer orders.

    2. Using conditional validations based on the sales order record type to enforce required steps for trailer orders while bypassing them for service orders.

    3. Chris to send screenshots of the existing QC process and workflow, and the team would reconvene to finalize the solution.
